The shark's mouth! A Magnum 90 FS nestles in the massive Stuka cowl - the 'quashed' glassfibre cowl was repaired by holding it in shape with thin cyano, fitting patches of glassfibre cloth inside with epoxy resin, then filling the outside surface with lightweight automotive filler - not perfect, but adequate! |
The wing suffered little damage, but the heatshrink covering was looking a bit sad, so it was stripped off and the wing covered in glasscloth, applied with 'Skincrylic', an water-based acrylic that is fuel proof. The 'panel' lines are applied using a fine-tipped 'magic' marker pen. |
The Ju 87 spats were treated in the same way as the cowl, having taken the brunt of the 'arrival'. |
