This is Geoff Dunmore’s Socrates glider, built in 1940. Originally covered in silk, the model features all
built – up ribs in the flying surfaces. The model has recently been renovated, using transparent film,
so that all that beautiful work can be seen. We’ll be featuring the model in more detail in Model Flyer soon,
so here’s a taster…
